Alberto is responsible for a post office in a beautiful city in northern Italy. Pressured by his wife, is willing to do anything to get a transfer to Milan. His attempts to get promotion are a mess and as punishment he was transferred to a small southern city, a nightmare for an inhabitant of the north. To her surprise, nothing is as he expected.
